Core values

People

We approach legal services from a different perspective; looking at what you and your rural business need to achieve your goals.  Our innovative approach to collaborative working aims to bring each element of your professional team together to ensure a joined-up approach to your decision making.

This vision means that we have a sector based approach to the legal needs of the rural community.  We place strategy and wider succession planning at the centre of our advice.

Purpose

We don’t just process cases, we are strategic and solutions focused, always looking for solutions, not problems.

We are not afraid to give honest realistic advice and we avoid the temptation to simply tell our clients what they want to hear.

We are flexible and adaptable, we work around our clients’ needs and give advice where and when and how it suits them; at home, work, at their place of business and outside of ‘normal’ office hours, if necessary.

Our cases are director led. Our directors personally lead every case, direct the strategy, make all the key decisions and closely supervise any work by other lawyers.

Passion

Our main driver for starting Denney King was our passion for helping others.  So many law firms focus their goals on profitability and growth.

For us, our warmth and contentment is generated from developing ideas and strategies which assist others in their personal growth; whether that is a client looking to achieve an outcome, a colleague trying to carve out a career which works for them or a fellow professional looking to develop their business.  Passion is not about “what” you do but “why” you do it!

    First Steps

Our training was received with such positivity that in 2019 we decided to take a leap of faith and commit to deliver legal services in a similar innovative manner.

In September 2019, Denney King registered with the SRA and became a law firm as well as continuing to offer inhouse and external training.

    Founded

We incorporated as a training company, delivering interactive and practical training to the legal profession on technical areas of law.  Helping other professionals, particularly junior lawyers, develop their expertise and grow personally and professionally was a passion of ours so when the opportunity arose to provide training to others we jumped at it.
